The latest update on the Stocks are that the roof covering has been completed along with repairs to the original uprights to the roof covering. However, when the contractor came to remove the scaffolding concern was raised that the uprights are not a suitable design to support the structure without some form of additional support. Further works are to be carried out.

Stamford’s temporary hub at Stamford Arts centre is now up and running for residents to access a range of everyday banking services, including cash withdrawals and cash deposits, balance enquiries, bill payments, cheque deposits, and change giving services for small business. Over the next year a permanent home will be found.

SKDC is currently conducting a review of the council tax support scheme to help low income households ahead of the 2027/2028 tax year.
The community development team is holding a community funding workshop at the Darby and Joan club in Bourne of Thursday 17th September between 6 and 8pm. The tickets are free for voluntary and community sector groups.

SKDC has been lucky enough to be given £12,000 for tree planting. Trees and hedgerows will be planted across the area using a grant from the tree council and DEFRA.
