The Women's Institute (WI) stands for connecting and empowering women through learning, skill-sharing and community action. Its core mission is to give women a voice, be a force for good in the community, and provide opportunities for lifelong learning and self-development. The WI's three main purposes are to advance the education of women and girls, promote sustainable development, and advance public health.

  • Empowerment and advocacy:
The WI empowers women to use their voice to influence change on issues that matter to them through both local and national campaigns.
  • Community and connection:
The WI provides a space for women of all ages and backgrounds to connect, share experiences, tackle social isolation, and build community cohesion.

  • Education and skill-building:
It offers lifelong learning opportunities and supports women in developing new skills, boosting their confidence and well-being.
