Minutes for St Andrews Management Committee

New Secretary
Dave has volunteered to take on the role of secretary
Open Gardens Update
Richard reported due to a lack of volunteers we had no alternative but to cancel the event this year.
Other Events
Cake, fizz and pétanque afternoon tea
On the Green, Sunday 12th May at 3pm. £5 for Adults. Elaine will do flyers. A number of people volunteered to provide cakes and David agreed to purchase the Fizz. A number of people have already helped clear the pétanque court.
Events this year?
Wine Tasting –
Debbie checked prices at Adnams but still too expensive.
It was suggested we organise a DIY Wine Tasting Quiz: attendees need to guess the price, country of origin and best description of the wine. To be discussed further at next meeting.
Quiz and Fish and Chips and/or Race Night
To be held in autumn/winter.
Live and Local
It was decided that the costs were too much given the limited space available.
Donation
The £2,500 donation to the management committee has so far been used for the Christmas Tree and Christmas Lights and toaster and cafetieres leaving just under £2000.
Possible further options-
It was decided that new stacking chairs weren’t required and it was noted the vicar was quite happy to leave the book exchange in the church front.
Range Cooker
It was reported that the range had been checked.
Parish Council
Funding cost of 2 large planters, 4 soldier silhouettes and 4 poppys for Remembrance – Dave kindly agreed to finish the work on this with some assistance from David and Richard.
Treasurer’ Report
Balance on the account of circa £2700 including the remainder of the donation
