Past Events
The recent Valentine’s Quiz night was discussed to determine if anything could be learnt for the future. It was agreed by all that the evening was a complete success and with the inclusion of additional wine, chocolates for the ladies, prizes for 1st and 2nd places, a repeat of this format should take place later in the year. It was decided that a Halloween Quiz will be held on Friday 31st October. More details on this to follow at a later date.

Upcoming Items

Replacement of the Management Committee chairperson.
The Committee discussed the replacement for the existing Chair, Kevin O’Hara.
Frances Plummer suggested that she would be happy to occupy this position and with the committee voting on the subject, it was agreed that she would hold this position with immediate effect. Those present not only welcomed Frances to the role, but also thanked Kevin for his past endeavours and wished him well for the future.

This event has been confirmed as going ahead. Pimms will be provided by the Management Committee. More details on this event to follow later.

Other Items for discussion
Unfortunately, the projector that was kindly donated to the Management Committee is unable to play back video content of a sufficient quality to allow it to be used for the Race Night as planned. The projector can still be used for Quiz nights and will still therefore be of use to us all in the future.  Dave Haydon will continue to investigate the hardware requirements to host a successful Race evening ie. Projector, Amplifier, Microphone, Sound system.

Parish Hall Kitchen Update
Frances raised concerns over the quality of some kitchen furniture ie. Cupboard doors, drawers etc.  Before any expenditure was made on updating this area, Frances offered to investigate costs for replacement items and a decision will be made at a future meeting.

Chop & Chat
Dave Haydon suggested an event to be held in the Parish Hall whereby members of the community could get together to Chop and Chat, a concept that allows villagers to interact in social cooking (chop) and conversation sessions (chat), with the primary aim of bringing the community together. Given various concerns around food hygiene and likely Council concerns, this item was not taken forward.

Witham on the Hill Website entry
Dave Haydon has offered to take over the day-to-day provision of information being updated on the Witham on the Hill Parish Council website (https://witham-hill.parish.lincolnshire.gov.uk/)
The details for this have been requested from the Clerk of the Parish Council and once received, all items of interest, benefitting residents of Witham on the Hill, will be uploaded in a timely fashion as and when available.

Any Other Business
With no other business to be discussed, the meeting was brought to a close at 20:07

Date of Next Meeting
The next meeting will take place on Wednesday 30th April at 7pm.
