Minutes for St. Andrews Management Committee
Tuesday 14th Jan 2025 at 7pm

Approval of previous minutes: Approved  

Treasurer’ Report   
Balance on the account is £2919.86
Deductions of almost £300 for gas usage and standing charge later in the month.  
Income (donations) from the Christmas Light switch-on event amounted to £200

Current Events
The question was raised in regard to a replacement Chairperson. Given Kevin’s current situation, those present were asked to consider and revisit this item at the next meeting.

Upcoming Events

14th February – Friday 7pm
Quiz night with a Fish & Chip supper and wine (alternatives meals will be available). Ticket Price £10 per head

The evening will be compared by Richard, ably assisted by Kevin in the background, and two prizes are to be won on the evening; overall winning table and one for the table displaying the lowest level of intellectual knowledge (losers). Dave H will confirm with George’s fish bar as to final pricing and delivery options

13th April – Sunday 3pm
Pudding Club

Offering up to 6 different desserts. Angela, Beverley, Jane, Frances, Doreen and Debbie have kindly agreed to provide one pudding each.  Ann B and Martin will also be approached for their responses by Debbie/Frances

5th May – Bank Holiday Monday - Midday onwards
VE Day 80th Anniversary Celebration BBQ

Contact Debbie for tickets, BYOB.  Meat/Veg to be provided. Requests to be made to the wider community to assist in providing BBQ’s, help with cooking etc.

6th July – Sunday 2pm
Pétanque & Pimms on the Green

Pimms provided by the Management Committee

ometime in the Autumn – Race Night. To be considered at a future committee meeting. Dave H to investigate the current state of play with the hardware necessary for this event ie. Amplifier, Projector, Microphone etc.

Any Other Business
It was noted that the Remembrance Day silhouettes, Poppies and Marquee are now stored in the outbuilding behind the Parish Hall

With no further business to discuss, the meeting was brought to a close at 20:00
